By mounting our water intake at the wetted running surface of the hull, a very low-resistance high-performance water intake supplies ample water for cooling purposes. This ""large" version takes tubes with 3  - 3.5 mm ID (0.118 - 0.138 inch). The tube is held on by a no-slip nipple. For monos typically it is mounted in the floor on the starboard side close to the keel line and close to the transom. On catamarans typically it is mounted in the floor on the starboard sponson close to the inboard tunnel wall.

When reversed in orientation this unit can also be used as a concealed under-hull water extraction outlet.
