Hydrodynamic design, and water testing go
hand in hand at MHZ. MHZ' complex computational fluid dynamic modeling efforts
derive their strength from the extensive racing experience and on-the-water
testing. Here, truly, the whole is greater than the sum. Being able to design
and produce scale crafts running faster, better, and more realistically
than anybody else has earned MHZ it's rightful place as the biggest RC boat
manufacturer in Europe. MHZ' racing pedigree is a natural evolution from the
design philosophy applied to each component, be it a hull, an engine, or a
gearbox.
All MHZ hulls, from the tiny to the huge, are hand-laid
with the best epoxy and glass-woven cloths available. Some hulls even use kevlar and/or carbon reinforcement
cloths. All seams are laminated "wet in wet" requiring a much longer "plug
time". The gelcoat finishes do not need painting. Although the manufacturing methods
MHZ uses
are very labor-intensive and very expensive by any industry standard, it is the only way to
achieve the
ultimate in strength and light weight. This superior stiffness and
strength ultimately manifests itself in the capability to take the high-speed
pounding of water without deforming; the enemy of solid predictable handling
characteristics. These hulls cannot be compared with the mass produced weak
ABS (plastic) hulls or the weaker and heavier polyester hulls prevalent in the
US market place. Weak hulls deform and cause the typical hairline cracks in
the gel coat.
Deformation of hulls result in unpredictable hydrodynamic escapades even if
the static design appeared favorable.

program has been untouched.
Price Changes
Just like all businesses our costs have increased
dramatically over the past years. Although we have not had any price
increases in the past 2 years, also we have not been able to outrun the
increased energy costs manifested mainly in our manufacturing and
transportation costs. In addition, because we manufacture in Europe, the
30% appreciation of the European currency (Euro) exchange rate with the
dollar has has had a profound effect on our cost structure. Where
possible, we have either left the pricing or even reduced prices.

Improvements to the plugs and modifications to our manufacturing process
make the PSR hulls even more competitive. The MHZ-PSR hulls can be found

Outerlimits GTX XXX 69” under exclusive arrangement with Outerlimits
Powerboats.
Dr Loo Yap, president of MHZusa, has been involved in improving the
hydrodynamic and aerodynamic designs of Outerlimits Powerboats
through a new joint-venture with Outerlimits' president Mike Fiore. In a
unique confluence of the real-boat and model-boat worlds, MHZusa, is
proud to announce an officially licensed model of Mike's world-record
setting GTX XXX, offered as a RTR with MHZ’s new Twin 2 x 26cc Blue Line
gas engine. The MHZ GTX will use a splitter gearbox and, similar to the
original, two counter-rotating Speedmaster S6 drives. The GTX is modeled
from detailed laser scans made from the original hull. The MHZ model
will include high-quality graphics designed from the color codes of the
original. These boats will be sold exclusively through MHZusa

Prices starting from $8500 depending on additional options such as
custom graphics and/or gasturbine power plant.
New
MHZ-WREN Marine Gasturbine
After producing the first MTT Marine Gasturbine prototypes, MHZusa
has joined forces with Miniature Gasturbine powerhouse WREN from the UK.
Under an exclusive agreement, MHZ and WREN are jointly developing a new
marine gasturbine with a 54mm compressor and 74mm power turbine which
boasts a gearbox and output speeds around 23.000 RPM. Exhaust gas
temperatures are around 575F to 680 F. Power output of this
kerosene-burning turbine will be around 8.5 hp in a 5.5 lb package.
Automatic startup sequencing and operation of the engine is computer
controlled. Exhaust configurations will be available for mono as well as
hydros. Pricing is expected around the $8000 mark.

MTC-Marl-Huls (www.mtc-powerboat.de),
the manufacturer of top-of-the-line hardware and engines for larger RC powerboats will be distributed
exclusively by MHZusa. Most MTC products will be added to MHZusa’s new

Although some RC-Boat enthusiasts from the US have already found their
way to MTC, MHZusa’s support from their Florida operations will now make
the coveted drives and other hardware more readily available in the
